La Madrugada, the movie
After winning over Argentinian audiences alongside accordionist Chango Spasiuk at the prestigious Fiesta Nacional del Chamamé in Corrientes (Argentina) in January 2020, and faced with the impossibility of presenting her album "La Madrugada" live on stage when it is released in November 2020, Mandy Lerouge, the "Francesita" who has fallen under the spell of Argentinian popular music, has surprised us with an ambitious, sincere and vibrant cinematic tribute to Argentina and its landscapes.
The woman nicknamed "La Roja" by the Argentines presents an exceptional concert filmed in the heart of nature, in the landscapes of the Hautes-Alpes where Mandy Lerouge grew up.
More than just a filmed concert, "La Madrugada, le film" is a medium-length film that aims to create a link between France and Argentina, between the Andes and the Alps, between the Gauchos and the Gardians.
A tribute to the Nature that has so inspired Argentine authors and composers, it will be released on Argentina's Independence Day and the birth of singer Mercedes Sosa (1935-2009).
Co-produced by Compagnie Le Fil Rouge and Inoove Production.
With the support of France Relance, Centre National de la Musique, Ville de Briançon.
